Availability
All items are subject to availability. Our system has been designed to only allow you to order products that we have in stock. However, in the event of an error and your desired product not being available, we will inform you by email within 14 days of receipt of your order.
Delivery and charges
Orders placed via startriteshoes.com can only be accepted from, and delivered to, residents from the UK. Please note that for our purposes, this includes England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and does not include the Channel Islands.
If you order before 12 pm on a working day, we will aim to despatch your order the same day for next day delivery, although orders can take 2-5 working days to be delivered. Orders placed on a non working day or after 12 pm on a working day should be despatched the next working day (for our purposes a "working day" is Monday to Friday, not including bank or public holidays). If you have chosen a time slot it should be delivered at the next available AM or PM time slot from time of despatch.
Delivery times may vary depending on the exact location that the goods are to be delivered to. We are unable to deliver the next day or offer AM/PM time slots to addresses in Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands and the more remote parts of the areas that we deliver to.
Delivery charges vary depending on the type of product ordered and the service you select. For full details please refer to our Despatch and Delivery FAQs. In accordance with the distance selling regulations, where you notify us of your cancellation of the contract (that is to say your intention to return the goods to us) within seven days from the day after receipt of the goods, and the full order is being returned to us, we will refund any delivery costs paid.
Our carriers will try to deliver your order 3 times. If they are unable to do so successfully after 3 attempts, your package will be returned to our distribution centre and your account will then be credited for the value of the order. You will receive email notification of cancellation from our customer service department. If you would still like the goods that you originally ordered, please note that you will have to place your order again. Please note that in such instances, we reserve the right not to refund delivery charges.
Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order
We require an email address upon registration, and we will use this email address to acknowledge receipt of your order.
In accepting the terms and conditions of sale the consumer consents to credit status checks being carried out by Start-rite Shoes Ltd, if deemed necessary by the company as part of the ordering process, before the company decides whether to accept the order.
Your order will not be confirmed as accepted by Start-rite Shoes Ltd until despatch of the product(s) ordered.
Cancellation right
Under the distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days (a "working day" being Monday to Friday not including bank or public holidays) beginning the day after your receipt of the goods.
You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
To cancel your order, you must notify us immediately in writing (which includes email). You must also return the goods to us immediately, in the same condition in which you received them.
Any goods returned must be unworn, complete with any gift with purchase, in their original packaging.

A working day means Monday to Friday not including bank or public holidays. You will receive a full refund of the price paid.
If you wish to cancel the contract (ie return the goods to us) you must inform us using our online returns procedure and you must return the goods to us immediately in the same condition in which you received them and at your own risk. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.
If you cancel the contract in accordance with this provision we will process your refund as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days.
Replacement goods must be ordered by placing a new order.

All goods, including any gift with purchase, must be returned to us unworn and in their original packaging, complete with all labels.
When registering your return, you will need to print a returns label. This should be affixed to the goods that you are returning, which must be in their original packaging. We recommend that you get proof of postage. The goods are your responsibility whilst in transit to us.
If you do not have a printer, please follow the same process as above - instead of printing the label you will be given the option to handwrite an address on the parcel. Please follow the onscreen instructions.
Consumers can return the consumer foot gauges according to the normal process but they must be returned unused and unassembled via our online returns procedure.
2. Faulty Goods
Without prejudice to your statutory rights.
If you think that your goods are faulty please log on and register the return by going to My Account>My Returns and selecting the order that you wish to return, following the online returns procedure. If your order is not showing in My Account, please contact Customer Services on 0844 561 7263 or customer.services@start-rite.co.uk
We recommend that you get proof of postage from the Post Office. The goods are your responsibility whilst in transit to us.

- accept their return and refund the price of the goods plus postage
or - if the items are found not to be faulty, return them to you at your cost
Please note that goods that have been worn for more than three months will be considered by us to have undergone normal wear and tear (based on industry standards) and will therefore not be deemed "faulty" for the purposes of this procedure.
If on receipt of your parcel it is obviously damaged, please refuse to accept the parcel and our delivery company will return it to us. If you are out at the time of delivery and it is left according to special instructions and you find it to be damaged please contact customer.services@start-rite.co.uk and quote your order number.
3. Returning the small or large purchasable gauge
Customers can return the consumer small and large purchasable foot gauges according to the normal returns policy as set out above.
