The importance of play this autumn

The summer holidays may have come to an end, but there’s still every opportunity to keep the fun going for your child. To show our support for children everywhere, we’ve teamed up with the charity and money saving online platform Savoo.co.uk to raise donations for the NSPCC.

When it comes to bringing play to your child’s life, one of the best things you can do is let them express themselves with what they wear. Here are just a few of the many shoes we offer that will bring a spark of personality to your child’s wardrobe.

As soon as your child starts walking, they can start expressing themselves with bright, colourful shoes. Our collection of first steps walking shoes features all kinds of fun footwear that your little one will love – each pair is designed specifically for growing feet, with lightweight soles and durable materials.

Encourage your child to release their inner fairy with our Mystery shoes, complete with rip-tape fastenings and iridescent navy leather that shines in the sunlight.

Who says only green means go? Fit those little feet into a pair of our red Tree House shoes and bring a splash of vibrant colour wherever you are.

If your child is a true sea creature lover, why not treat them to a pair of our Jaws shoes, complete with gorgeous shark illustrations?

Meanwhile, our glittering Story boots covered in stars are sure to delight any aspiring astronaut.

Who says rain has to ruin your fun? Take a look at our post featuring our best boots and wellies – paired with a raincoat and some waterproof trousers, your young one can stomp, run and splash in puddles to their heart’s content.

Our partnership with the NSPCC

Despite fun and play being a crucial part of a child’s upbringing, not every child feels able to let go and express themselves. This may be for a number of reasons; for instance, some children may be bullied at school, leading them to think they shouldn’t feel comfortable in their own personality and interests. Others may be experiencing emotional neglect at home, which can have severe effects on their mental health.

This is why we want to continue our partnership with the NSPCC. In previous blog posts we’ve talked about the NSPCC’s advice for parents sending their children to school during coronavirus and how to talk to your young ones about the pandemic – now, you can raise a free 2.5% donation for the charity just by shopping for any full-priced shoes via Savoo.co.uk.

The NSPCC does vital work in helping abused and neglected children across the country – find out more about what they do here. You can also learn how to recognise if your child is being bullied, and read more about emotional neglect. By shopping our full-priced items via Savoo this autumn, you’ll raise a free donation worth 2.5% of your order total. That means if you spend £40, you’ll raise an extra £1 for the NSPCC.
