As we get prepared for winter, our Senior Designer, Emily Linnell, shares her favourite boots from the AW21 collection.
SPLASH in blackcurrant leather is a re-boot of a signature style updated with embroidered flowers, warm Aqua-Rite linings and a bellow’s zip, so your little one’s feet stay warm and toasty, and the boots stay looking smart. Perfect for stomping in puddles or if your child’s going somewhere fancy! I think the beauty of this style lies in the embroidery detail with dazzling, gold metallic threads crafted into a sophisticated arrangement making the case for elegant understatement.
If you’re looking for a timeless, ubiquitous classic for your child, ECHO in brown leather will always be my go-to recommendation for every day. The boot’s statement broguing punched into a stylish, tough waxy leather and a rugged utilitarian sole is a nod to a classic business shoe with strong undertones of adventure! My favourite feature of this shoe is its durability and character through wear: over time the leather will get sturdier and create a charming, distressed vintage look that’s a perfect combination for active feet!

The pearlized mauve metallic leather paired with the delicate bow detail gives this Chelsea style boot the “aww” factor and brings me so much joy when I look at it! These would be my happy boots I’d wear on a gloomy day. The bow is securely stitched onto a flowery adorned, screen-printed elastic. The floral ditsy print is one of Start-Rite’s signature prints - designed in house, by me! The clean lines and distinctive feature leathers make this style easy to wear for every occasion. Feature materials tend to be dyed through so they look smarter for longer, adding a fun flair to our collections - perfect for little party feet! The fresh white sole unit features biomechanical grooves to help aid foot movement and development with additional extra toe and heel protection.

The boots are made in patent leather, a coated leather that has a high gloss finish so it’s easy to wipe clean and stay looking smart. The decorative strap is finished with military style hardware, juxtaposed with delicate ribbon laces, adding a modern twist to a simple boot.
